Misfit Homes is a VLS Certified, locally owned and operated vacation rental property management company, managing a variety of properties throughout downtown Nashville. If you're at all interested in short term rental property management, investment, and the short term rental industry then this is the job for you!


We are looking for a Full Time Local Operations Property Manager (Home Care Supervisor) who can assist with the management of our properties. Days will consist of property inspections and walk-throughs, checking for cleanliness and damage, running errands, replacing broken or missing items, troubleshooting tech items such as WiFi, smart door locks, cable, and TV remotes, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed. Your primary role will be to ensure properties are always well maintained ready for check-ins. Looking for someone who is handy and can take initiative to make our rentals stand out.

Our ideal candidate:


  • 1 to 2 years minimum experience in a property management or property caretaker position

  • Short Term Rental Management experience is a PLUS

  • Reliable

  • Attention to detail is an absolute MUST

  • Effective communicator and TEAM PLAYER

  • Handy/Problem Solver

  • Tech savvy

  • Organized with the ability to prioritize

  • Independent worker with ability to take ownership for their work and take direction well

  • Willing to work varying hours: payment will be on a full time base salary with a bonus pay on a per property basis that you are able to effectively take on. We currently manage 20 properties, and are growing fast. You will start with 5 and then slowly grow to assist with our entire portfolio if deemed able. Inspections will be once a week and on-call for varying tasks throughout the week and on the weekends if needed.


Job Responsibilities Include:


  • Ensuring properties are clean, stocked, maintained, and presentable prior to guest arrival

  • Running general errands as needed for restocking, or replacing broken items

  • Maintain home inventories, reporting any issues or damages and coordinating repairs

  • Assistance with small basic home maintenance and minor cleaning such as replacing light bulbs, air filters, installing locks/door knob, occasionally clearing drain clogs, cleaning cobwebs, etc.

  • Troubleshooting electronics: WiFi, cable, in home cameras, noise monitors

  • Assist in keeping exterior of properties clean and presentable

  • Rolling trash cans to the curb

  • Helping with set up of new properties: moving and assembling furniture

  • Using smartphone apps effectively


To Be Considered:


  • Must have a driver's license

  • Must be VLS certified (or willing to go through the the one day program to attain your VLS license)

  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Must be technologically savvy.

  • Must have a functional smartphone

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
